The value of non-residential building permits grew 1.5 billion dollars to 5.5 billion in March. Meanwhile, residential construction intentions in decreased 270.6 million dollars to 8.0 billion.

On a constant dollar basis, the total value of building permits issued in March rose 10.1% from the previous month.
