MOT PROFESSIONAL

We’re pleased to announce that on June the 25^th it has been introduced in the MOT market a new Professional Segment, reserved solely for qualified investors.

This segmentation appears advisable in light of the entry into force of Regulation (EU) No 2017/1129 of the European Parliament and of the Council, regarding the regulatory framework applicable to prospectuses. Specifically, the new rules will be of particular relevance in the event of admission to trading on a regulated market, or a specific segment thereof, to which only qualified investors can have access.

As is known, the new Regulation will apply fully from 21 July 2019. Therefore, the introduction of the new professional segment is in line with the new regulatory framework. In any case, it is made available before the regulation enters into force to allow issuers to use this segmentation on a voluntary basis.

The professional segment is cross to the current DomesticMOT and EuroMOT segments. On the professional segment, financial instruments may be admitted both if they are settled in Monte Titoli and in Euroclear and Clearstream Banking Luxembourg.
