Switch to MTF

From November 27th 2017 SeDeX becomes a non regulated market (a.k.a MTF) abandoning the previous status as a regulated market, which remained effective until the close of trading on November 24th, 2017.

Borsa Italiana, with a notice published on November 20th (see attachment), has communicated to the market this important regulatory change which was made necessary from a MiFID II provision establishing the mandatory introduction of the Central Counterparty (CC&G), from January 3rd 2018, for all regulated derivatives markets.

The switch to MTF of the SeDeX market is aligned to what has been decided by analogous European securitised derivatives markets.

The new MTF follows the same set of rules of the regulated SeDeX (the name of the market remains unchanged) both in terms of information obligations by the issuers and in terms of secondary market and market participants requirements. All market surveillance monitoring activities remain unchanged.

Please, find here attached the new MTF rules for SeDeX in Italian and in English and the relevant public notices.
