-        15 new members in the UK for a total of 62 British ELITE companies

-        On December 10 the new European ELITE companies will be officially presented.  To date the program includes 25 members representative of 15 countries

-        ELITE aims to accelerate the growth of enterprises through an innovative plan of organizational and managerial development, set to make companies more competitive, visible and attractive to investors

Today, with a joint presentation event in London and Milan,  41 new companies – 26 in Italy and 15 in the UK – will join ELITE.  ELITE is a program created by Borsa Italiana in 2012 to accelerate the growth of enterprises.

ELITE today totals 307 member companies: all growing enterprises with long term development plans. These companies have combined revenues of over €28 billion and contribute to create over 105,000 jobs around Europe.

Alongside Italy and the UK, the program  is also growing in the rest of Europe and  on 10 December, the pan-European companies that are joining the program will be introduced to the public. The program is also expanding internationally thanks to partnerships engaged with companies in fast-growth rate countries. .  Through the ELITE license the London Stock Exchange Group,  can partner with domestic stock exchanges and provide support to implement and manage the program on a  local level.

Today the London Stock Exchange Group proudly announces the signed agreement with  with Casablanca Stock Exchange that will  support Moroccan businesses  in their path of growth and in their approach to capital markets. Further licensing will be concluded in the coming months.

Among the novelties presented during the day there  is the partnership between ELITE and Opportunity Network, a platform that allows companies to share business opportunities anonymously.

During the event in Milan, 18 ELITE companies that have already completed the program will receive the ELITE certificate.

Raffaele Jerusalmi, CEO of Borsa Italiana and Director of Capital Markets of the London Stock Exchange Group commented:

“The immense success of ELITE continues to attract companies, investors and advisors from all around the world. When we launched ELITE we were sure that working for the growth of SMEs would generate innovation, employment and opportunities for the whole European economy.  The results we have achieved thus far are confirming this: ELITE is a model recognized at any institutional level, both domestic and European. ELITE, which sees the participation of companies from several sectors - from fashion, food and customer goods - gives us a clear image of the Italian economy and demonstrates how our markets could evolve in future.”

Luca Peyrano, Head of Primary Markets of Continental Europe, remarks:

“We are happy to reinforce the international network of ELITE today, by welcoming the companies that are about to initiate this path, which is exciting and rich in opportunities. We are also proud to host our friends from Casablanca Stock Exchange, who will develop this program in their country with us, in order to prepare Moroccan enterprises to achieve  their growth plans and overcome the challenges of international markets.”
