Borsa Italiana Board appoints new non executive director

Borsa Italiana S.p.A, today announces that Massimo Tononi has joined its Board as a Non Executive Director.

Mr Tononi, recently appointed as Non Executive Director of the Group Board, joins the Board of Borsa Italiana with immediate effect.

Angelo Tantazzi, Chairman of Borsa Italiana,  commented:

“I am delighted to welcome Massimo Tononi to the Board of Borsa Italiana. Massimo’s extensive banking, finance and commercial expertise will be invaluable in driving our business forward in Italy and internationally, and I very much look forward to working with him.”

Massimo Tononi was Partner & Managing Director in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs until July this year.  Whilst at Goldman Sachs, he played a senior role in the business development and execution of investment banking transactions throughout Europe.  Between 2006  and 2008, he was Treasury Undersecretary at the Italian Ministry of Economy & Finance in Rome.
