2007 Italian Investor Conference - New York

From April 16 to 18 the U.S. investors meet 22 companies and Borsa Italiana in New York and Boston



New York and Boston will be the first leg abroad of Borsa Italiana’s 2007 Roadshow which started with the STAR Conference in Milan on March 1st with the aim of promoting the Italian companies listed on Borsa Italiana.

The Italian Investor Conference in New York and Boston is organized in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (General Direction for the Economic Cooperation) and thanks to the collaboration of four banks: Banca IMI, Intermonte, Mediobanca e Merrill Lynch.

During the Conference, several one–to-one meetings between the management of the 22 attending companies and the financial community will be held together with discussion sessions and round tables on relevant topics for the Italian economy which will be attended by the management of the companies.

The Italian Investor Conference will be opened on Monday, April 16th by the remarks of Massimo Capuano, CEO of Borsa Italiana, Giandomenico Magliano, General Executive for the Economic Cooperation of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Kathy Bostjancic, Senior Director, US Economics of Merrill Lynch.

Thereafter, it will be held the first round table on “Global Strategies for Italian Brands”, moderated by Maurizio Tamagnini (Merrill Lynch), and attended by Emilio Macellari (Tod’s), Mario Moretti Polegato (Geox), Michele Norsa (Ferragamo), Stefano Sassi (Valentino Fashion Group) and Gianmario Tondato da Ruos (Autogrill). In the morning the presentations of Cattolica Assicurazioni and Piaggio will also be held.

On Tuesday April 17th it will be held the second round table, “Succeeding in fast changing markets”, moderated by Andrea Cabrini (Class-CNBC), and attended by Andrea Battista (Bancassurance), Luca Majocchi (Seat Pagine Gialle), Alessandro Pansa (Finmeccanica), Antonello Perricone (RCS Mediagroup), Fritz Squindo (Recordati) and Antonio Vigni (Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena). The meeting will be introduced by Giampaolo Trasi (Banca IMI).

Following the meeting, the presentations of Enel, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Terna and Seat Pagine Gialle will be held.
