BORSA ITALIANA AND REUTERS
LAUNCH A NEW CO-BRANDED WEBSITE FOR PRIVATE INVESTORS

Borsa Italiana and Reuters have launched a new co-branded website for individual investors focused on the Italian market. The site includes financial information directly from Borsa Italiana and access to Reuters professional grade financial news and information on over 26,000 Italian and international companies. The site, which forms part of www.reuters.it, can be accessed free of charge at www.borsaitaliana.reuters.it.

It combines Italian and international breaking business and world news, including Reuters company and markets news used by financial professionals around the globe, with financial information on the Italian market and 17 other major markets around the world. The site also offered visitors Reuters in-depth coverage from the Winter Olympics.

A series of screening and research tools allow investors to track, research and follow the performance of companies. A profile section provides detailed information on the business activities, management team and financial performance of 26,000 companies, plus detailed financial ratios and analyst forecasts, all easily accessed by a quote look up function.

Other investment tools available on the site include portfolio trackers, watchlists and comparative stock charting.  A funds and exchange traded funds section allows investors to search from a range of funds to find those that match their investing style. Information on local bond markets, global commodities prices and the daily Italian top gaining and falling equities are also available.

Bruno Siracusano, Borsa Italiana Executive Director of New Business Unit said, “This is a very innovative project in the worldwide financial market. We strongly believe in the success of this co-branded site due to the association of these two strong brands”.
Tim Faircliff, Reuters Head of European Consumer Media, said: “Individual investors are always looking for new ideas and information to help them profit from the markets.  We are very excited to be able to partner with Borsa Italiana to add Reuters global market information and Reuters breaking news to their Italian market data, connecting investors directly to the sources and tools they need to make fast, informed decisions”.
