Exchange Hosting

Exchange Hosting is the ultimate low latency connectivity service for firms looking to gain the fastest possible access to the Borsa Italiana’s trading and information services.
It allows market participants and information vendors to locate their servers within the datacentre that hosts Borsa Italiana’s IDEM Market and Data Dissemination Service (DDM+) and will host Borsa Italiana’s cash markets (MTA, MOT, SEDEX, ETF+) when it migrates to the Millennium IT platform (Q2 2012).
Exchange Hosting provides low microsecond access to the Borsa Italiana’s matching engines and market data feed gateways.

Since its launch in November 2010, Exchange Hosting has been at the forefront of the Exchange’s drive to increase the flow of liquidity onto its markets by increasing the likelihood of execution through the reduction in round trip latency times.
Exchange Hosting has also extended the Group’s range of connectivity options allowing participants to connect into the hosting facility through a number of ultra low latency telecommunications providers.

Key benefits of Exchange Hosting include:

• Hosting physically within the same data centre where the IDEM matching engine and market data dissemination system (DDM+) are located and where the MTA, MOT, SEDEX and ETF+ matching engine will be located starting from Q2 2012

2. Borsa Italiana’s provided network (BIt Network)
3. Internet VPN

• Ultra low latency connection (1 Gb or 10 Gb fibre) connect to Borsa Italiana’s trading and information systems

Exchange Hosting – Design Overview

Access to ultra fast matching engines and market data systems

Borsa Italiana’s IDEM market runs on the new ultra fast SOLA platform, where the expected round trip time, from the co-location, is below 1 millisecond.
Borsa Italiana’s MTA, MOT, SEDEX and ETF+ markets will, from Q2 2012, run on the new ultra fast world leading Millennium IT Exchange platform. The forecast round trip time from the co-location is expected to be below 300 microseconds.
