THE STAMP OF POSTE ITALIANE CELEBRATES BORSA ITALIANA'S BICENTENARY

Friday 8th February 2008 a special cancellation
at Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of Borsa Italiana

To celebrate Borsa Italiana's 200 years, on Friday the 8th of February 2008 a stamp has been issued by Poste Italiane, to the value of 0,65 euro.

The stamp represent, in a stylized figure, the front of Palazzo Mezzanotte, headquarters of Borsa Italiana since 1932; below it is reproduced the logo realized on the occasion of the Bicentenary «1808 - 2008, Borsa Italiana 200 years».

Silvia Isola is the author of the sketch.

The stamp has been printed by Officina Carte Valori dell’Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A., in rotogravure, on fluorescent paper, not filigree; paper format: mm 30 x 40; printing format: mm 26 x 36; identation: 13¼ x 13; colors: two; circulation: three millions and five hundred thousand copies; sheet: fifthy copies, value “€ 32,50”.

On Friday February 8, it has been possible to frank the stamp, through a special cancellation realized by Filatelia di Poste Italiane.
