AIM Italia – Alternative Capital Market is the market of Borsa Italiana devoted to the Italian small and medium enterprises with a high growth potential. 

The Market was born on 1st March 2012 through the merger of AIM Italia and MAC markets, for the purpose of rationalizing the offer of the markets devoted to SMEs and proposing a single market conceived for Italy’s more dynamic and competitive SMEs, with a formula that leverages on the know-how obtained in more than 15 years of experience of the British AIM on one side and on the specific needs of the Italian entrepreneurial system on the other side.    

AIM Italia – Alternative Capital Market offers to small and medium businesses the possibility to access in an efficient manner a selected public of investors focused on small caps.

It is conceived for offering a faster and more flexible procedure to listing, protecting investors at the same time, thanks to an efficient regulatory system that meets the needs of small businesses and specialized investors.

Characteristics of AIM Italia – Alternative Capital Market is an MTF (Multilateral Trading Facility), i.e. a market regulated by Borsa Italiana. During the admission phase no publication of a prospectus pursuant to the Directive 2003/71/EC on prospectuses is required and subsequently no publication of quarterly management reports is required. The market is based on a key figure: the Nominated Adviser (Nomad), a person who is responsible vis-à-vis Borsa Italiana, in charge of evaluating whether a company is eligible for admission and later of assisting such company, guiding and accompanying it throughout the period of permanence on the market.
